Lyrical
A passionate dance style blending ballet and jazz techniques. Classes focus on developing expression, emotion, turns, leaps, and flexibility through choreography.
Contemporary
An expressive dance form combining elements of modern jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet. Emphasises mind-body connection, versatility, improvisation, and floorwork. Often performed barefoot.
Acrobatics (Acrobatic Arts syllabus)
Develops skills in flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering, and tumbling. Progression-based curriculum suitable for beginners to advanced dancers.
Jazz
Evolving dance style rooted in traditional techniques. Taught using the ATOD (Australian Teachers of Dance) syllabus. Develops skills aligned with contemporary music and movement.
Tap
ATOD syllabus-based classes focusing on rhythms, syncopations, and coordinated movements. Structured progression through graded levels.
Hip Hop
Hip hop is a street dance style characterized by high-energy movements, complex and innovative footwork, and a versatile performance approach. The dance reflects the confident, bold attitude of its accompanying music, allowing dancers to express themselves through dynamic and expressive choreography.
Conditioning
Our fitness and conditioning classes are designed to enhance dancers' overall physical performance. These classes focus on building body strength and stamina, preventing injuries, improving flexibility, and supporting excellence across all dance styles.
Dance examinations offer students a unique opportunity for personal growth and achievement. Beyond mastering technical skills, these structured assessments provide a clear pathway for development, helping dancers set and reach meaningful goals.
For students in Junior levels and above, examinations in Ballet and Acrobatics offer a structured approach to skill progression. This process requires dedication not just from the dancer, but also support from their family. Students commit to consistent class attendance and establish a disciplined home practice routine.
The benefits of dance examinations extend far beyond the studio. The skills developed—including discipline, goal-setting, perseverance, and self-motivation—are highly valued by educators, employers, and professionals across various fields. Whether a student dreams of a dance career or simply wants to build personal character, these examinations provide a transformative experience that shapes character and builds confidence.
